Monsters V4.5 for Digital Fusion 4.x - Installation and Licensing
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The SpeedSix Monsters V4.5 release includes extensive updating of the
existing Boxes 1 to 7, and introduces Boxes 8 to 18 to the range of
Monsters for Digital Fusion.

You do not need a license key to run the software for evaluation purposes,
but the images it creates will be watermarked. Licence keys will only be
issued upon receipt of a purchase order.

The software is identified by three things:
1. The SpeedSix Product name: Monsters are packaged into Boxes currently
1-18. These can be licensed separately or in sets of Boxes 1-9, 10-18
and 1-18.
2. The Monsters version number: The current release for Digital Fusion is
Monsters V4.5.2
3. The host system: Monsters v4.5 are supported on Digital Fusion V4.
Please note: Monsters V4.5 are not currently supported on DFX.

If you are running an earlier version of Digital Fusion V4 then you should
install the latest upgrade patch available free of charge from the support
section of the Eyeon website, www.eyeonline.com.

necessary during installation.

VERY IMPORTANT - If your Monsters License file is tied to your Digital Fusion
serial number (or "Dongle Number") you must be running Monsters V4.5.2 or later.
If you have Monsters installed you can verify the Monsters version number by
going to Help > About Digital Fusion > Plugins.

Licensing Your Monsters
-----------------------

You will need a SpeedSix license file which is provided when you order
the software.

Your Monsters license is normally tied to your Digital Fusion dongle so You
will need to provide your Digital Fusion Serial Number to your reseller or
SpeedSix in order for the license to be generated. The Digital Fusion Serial
Number is the number printed on your dongle (usually 12 digits). It can also
be found by going to Help > About Digital Fusion in Digital Fusion, where it
is displayed below the build date. Your Monsters License is tied to the first
8 digits of the Serial Number which uniquely identify the dongle.

When the licence is returned to you by email:

1. Save the attachment as a file. This is the license file KEEP A COPY IN A
SAFE PLACE.

2. Copy it to the following directory on the machine to be licensed:

<program_files_directory>\SpeedSix\Licenses

<program_files_directory> should be replaced by the appropriate location on your
machine. This depends on how you have configured your operating system and your
locale (country). In English speaking countries the full path would normally be:

c:\Program Files\SpeedSix\Licenses.

Your Monsters are now licensed and will render without watermarks next time you
start Digital Fusion.

PLEASE NOTE: Do not edit the license files provided in any way, the format is
very specific. The licenser searches all the files in the License directory to
find valid licenses, so more thanone license file can be added to the directory
if Monsters Boxes are purchased separately.

If you Digital Fusion system does not have a dongle but it licensed with a floating
license tied to a Digital Fusion license server contact your reseller or SpeedSix.

Installing & Licensing Monsters for Digital Fusion 4 Render Node
----------------------------------------------------------------

There are two possible licensing modes:

1. Node locked, where the Monsters are licensed directly to the Digital Fusion
dongle on the Render Node machine. This is the simplest to set up but is only
possible if your Digital Fusion Render Node license is node locked to a dongle
ON THE RENDER NODE MACHINE.To install Monsters in this mode follow the installation
procedure outlined above for each render node machine.

2. Floating licenses, with a SpeedSix license server installed on one of machines
on the network. This option is necessary if the Digital Fusion Render Node is
licensed by an Digital Fusion license server, but can also be used for any
configuration of Render Nodes as long as they are on the same local area network as
the machine chosen to run the SpeedSix license server. The installation procedure for
the SpeedSix license server is described in detail in a separate installation guide.

There is no difference in pricing between the two Render Node license modes as SpeedSix
strongly advise a customer to buy a license for each Render Node whether node locked or
floating (having fewer Monsters Render Node licenses than active render nodes would be an
unsupported installation as it is very likely to cause problems).
